First film version of Lady Susan!

We have long known that Whit Stillman is an avid Jane Austen fan.  His Metropolitan is one of the films we are discussing this summer at our JASP, because it is an homage to (perhaps an adaptation of) Mansfield Park.  Now he has made the first film version of Jane Austen’s mischievous story “Lady Susan.” Of course, he has made things very confusing for Austen fans, because he has given this film the title of another Jane Austen story, “Love and Friendship.”  Click here for a review of Whit Stillman’s new film version of Lady Susan, confusingly entitled “Love and Friendship.”  Can’t wait to see it!
