Austen 250 Reader Series: A Conclusion to Emma

Thus, we come to the end...

"...the wishes, the hopes, the confidence, the predictions of the small band of true friends who witnessed the ceremony, were fully answered in the perfect happiness of the union."

––– Jane Austen, Emma, Chapter 55

Welcome back, dearest Janeites, to the Austen 250 Reader Series.

Thank you for joining me as we explored Emma. After concluding our lovely reading journey last week, I just couldn't finish out our time together without a final post and proper farewell.

Over the past six weeks here on the JASP blog we have highlighted Jane Austen's sterling novel, Emma. Every other Friday––beginning July 5––we explored the work through reflective summary (supplemented with images from the 2020 film adaptation, dir. Autumn de Wilde).

Afraid you'll miss the read-along format? Never fear! JASP is returning immediately with Jane Austen's Persuasion, with fellow blogger, Delicia Johnson, at the helm. You can peruse the tentative schedule for the Austen 250 Reader, our year-long blog series in honor of the 250th anniversary of dear Jane's birth.

Once again, thank you for reading along with me. Rather than say farewell, dear readers, I will say, until the next…
