Word has reached my ears, a most precipitous exigency; my esteemed acquaintances at Jane Austen's Desk find themselves in want of funds, a veritable necessity to enrich their digital platform with the celestial harmony of music. Rewards await those generous souls who lend their aid, though, alas, their quantities are finite. Know then, that this, their Kickstarter endeavor, concludes upon the eve of December the twenty-eighth. Haste, I implore you, for time, like a fleeting dance, allows no lingering!

Should fortune smile upon them—and only with your kindest munificence might such a thing occur—you shall have the privilege of exploring the singular sounds and mechanics of these most historic instruments themselves, practising pieces and even perusing sheet music penned by Miss Austen’s very hand. Indeed, you ought all apply yourselves and become proficient! Your Ladyship insists upon it! I daresay several amongst you shall be proficient enough to favour us with a performance upon the pianoforte or harpsichord at Rosings, as befits young ladies (and gentlemen) of accomplishment.
