Creative Opportunities for Young JASPers

Short stories, coloring pages, and short films - so many media, so little time!

Creative Writing Contest:

The recording for Lesley Peterson's writing workshop is now available for those who couldn't make it. We guarantee you'll be inspired to try your hand at a recognition scene of your own! Short (500-1000 words is a good range) entries are due May 11th. Find submission instructions on our website.

Open to young writers (K-12), Lesley Peterson will be joined by celebrity judges: YA writers Maria Grace and Sayantani DasGupta, both speaking at this year's JASP. Winners will receive JASP-related prizes, and entrants will be published on our blog site.

Coloring Contest:

Our younger artists (under 12) are invited to enter our coloring contest, turning pages by Georgie Castilla into their own art work.

Instructions are on our website; submissions due May 11. Georgie Castilla will be our celebrity judge. All entries will be displayed in our on-line gallery, and winners will receive JASP-related prizes.

JASNA Young Filmmakers Contest:
