Thursday, June 19

9:30-10:00 Trolley runs back and forth from DoubleTree to History Center for those who need assistance
 
9:00-10:00 Meeting for presenters, mandatory for graduate students & discussion leaders (Cullman Hall)
 
10:00-2:00 Conference registration and check-in (Side of Maddox Hall by entrance)
 
10:00-5:00 Emporium open; Costume Rental begins (Gateway Gallery)

10:00-12:00 Teacher Forum 1 with Caitlin Donovan, “Beneath the bonnet: Building context for Austen’s world through material culture” (Cullman Hall)

10:15-11:15 "Stitch a sprigged pocket handkerchief" Embroidery Workshop with Jennie Batchelor (Hunt Board Room) (requires add-on ticket)

2:30-3:30 Plenary Lecture 1: "To Knit Bone and Home: How Women's Household Books Shaped Communities in the Regency Era" with Anna Cory Neill (Cullman Hall)

3:30-5:00 Trolley to DoubleTree Hotel runs for those who need assistance
 
3:45-5:30 Optional Self-Directed Walking Tours (no ticket needed)

3:45-4:45 Dance Practice 1 "101 for Beginners" with Mr. Steplively, Dancemaster; option to stay longer if desired (Tent)
 
5:30-6:30 Meet and Greet + Icebreaker Games ; music by the Craven Consort; games hosted by Breckyn Wood (Deck at DoubleTree Hotel)

9:30-10:30 Plenary Lecture 2: "The Constitutional Safeguard of a Flannel Waistcoat": Sense and Sensibility and the Government of the Self" with Sarah Marsh (Cullman Hall)
 
10:30-11:00 Elevenses (Maddox Hall)

 
10:45-12:45 Optional Trolley Tour (no walking required: pick up and drop off at from door of NC Museum--our conference location) (add-on ticket required)

11:00-1:00 Tryon Palace Tours at 11, 11:30, 12, and 12:30 (advanced registration required). Meet at the Front Door of Tryon Palace 5 minutes before your scheduled tour.

11:00-12:30 Walking Tour (no ticket needed) OR Advanced Dance class with Mr Steplively: authentic Scottish dance footwork to use at the Ball (Maddox Hall)
